I can recommend Exmouth and Cape Rage National park to everyone. If you want to have some family time relaxing by the beach or do some outdoor activities such as fishing or snorkeling, Exmouth has it all. Turquoise Bay and Oyster Stacks are perfect spots to see a great range of fish and sea creatures. Only one kilometer inland from the pristine coastline lies Yardie Creek with showy gorges. Worth the hike in the heat despite a million flies accompanying the journey! After the hike you can relax at Sandy Bay and admire the crystal clear water. December was a great time to visit Exmouth as it is the low season and places are less crowded but cyclone season should be kept in mind when planning the trip (from November to April). Exmouth is accessible by flying to Learmonth airport first and then hiring a car from there or driving 13 hours from Perth. I have done both and for a short trip would recommend flying but driving is a great choice if you have a week or two to spare as there are numerous gorgeous spots to stop at along the way.
