On our second and unfortunately last day in Barcelona we awoke to cloudless skies and beautiful sunshine. We took a metro to the National Art Museum of Catalonia and climbed up Montjuïc hill where we lunched with a gorgeous view over the city. I couldn’t stop taking photos because there always seemed to be another beautiful glimpse just ahead! We walked down to the harbour where there were many people spending their Sunday. I even managed to shop a little at Maremagnum mall as it was probably the only place in the city where shops were open on Sunday. We finally made it to the beach for the sunset and it could not have been more beautiful. I was really sad to leave Barcelona but I was also very grateful to be able to enjoy such an amazing weekend there.
